Founded by Fr. Thomas Judge in 1909, the Missionary Cenacle Family exists to glorify the Triune God by participating in the mission of Jesus as an apostolic family which is missionary in the providence of daily life. We are a family of four branches:
* The Blessed Trinity Missionary Institute
* The Missionary Cenacle Apostolate
* The Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity
* The Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity
Our branches include lay people and consecrated religious, including sisters, brothers, and priests. The Family is present across the United States and in Puerto Rico, Haiti, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Honduras.

Fr. Thomas Augustine Judge, C.M.
Father Thomas Augustine Judge, C.M., was born in South Boston on August 23, 1868 to Irish immigrants. After completing his education and overcoming health challenges, Fr. Judge was ordained in 1899. He was a visionary Roman Catholic priest who founded the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity in 1909. He dedicated his life to missionary work, particularly focusing on the spiritual needs of the poor and abandoned, as well as the activation of the laity. Father Judge believed in the capacity of ordinary men and women to love and serve God in the ordinary circumstances of their lives. He taught that by being a loving presence to the people we meet in our daily life, we live out our Baptismal call to be Apostles.
Mother Boniface Keasey and Dr. Margaret Healy
Mother Boniface Keasey, a teacher from Western Pennsylvania, joined Fr. Judge’s missionary efforts in Alabama in 1916. In 1919, Sister Mary Boniface was appointed by Father Judge to be the first General Custodian of the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity and received the name Mother Mary Boniface. Under the combined leadership of Father Judge and Mother Boniface, the Missionary Cenacle Family further developed in distinct forms of apostolic life: clergy, religious, and lay.
Doctor Margaret Healy was an early associate of Father Judge. As an educator, she came in contact with many generous young adults eager to be of service to God and the Church. In 1928 she was asked by Fr. Judge to assume the role of General Custodian for the combined lay groups which became known as the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate. She also was instrumental in the formation of the Blessed Trinity Missionary Institute (BTMI) and served as its first General Custodian.
